Ancienne chevalerie, originaire du lieu d'Auroux. Raymond et Pierre, damoiseaux, firent hommage au Chapitre de Mende en 1288. Pierre était le douzième abbé du monastère de Senanques en 1256. Cette famille possédait, au XIVème siècle, ine parérie à la Garde-Guérin. En 1331 Bérenger, chevalier de Saint-Jean de Jérusalem, était prieur de Baroli. Pierre était moine de Saint-Victor de Marseille en 1337. Les deux derniers membres connus de cette famille sont: Grimoard, parier de la Garde-Guérin, en 1445; Noble Louis vivant à la même époque, qui reconnut, aux Cordeliers de Saint-Chély, une rente de 10 livres, fondée par Marguerite d'Apchier, probablement son ascendante. Jérome, conseilleur au parlement de Paris, puis président aux enquêtes du parlement de Bretagne en 1560, marié à Madeleine de Heère.
