Ancienne et très noble famille du Royaume de Naples, de vertu claire et ancestrale, répartie au cours des siècles dans différentes régions d'Italie, récompensée par la Baronnie de Mariglianella (NA). Don Vincenzo fut investi du fief le 26 avril 1788, par la succession de Don Mariano, son père. Don Michele était le contrôleur de la Direction générale des lots royaux des domaines de ce côté du phare. Le Premier Lieutenant Don Felice Avallone était Chevalier de Grâce de l'Ordre Royal Militaire de Saint-Georges de la Réunion. Une grande branche de la famille s'installe à Torre Annunziata, avec Mag.co Giovanni Antonio Simone, né à Raito (1762-1817), feu Mag.co Mattia et Donna Stella Consiglio, marié à Donna Emilia Serio (1767- 1807), dont est né Don Angelo Raffaele Aniello, né à Raito le 15 décembre 1799, décédé à Torre Annunziata le 10 février 1888.
