Provengono da Moutiers in Savoia, dove il notaio Lorenzo (dec. il 20 dicemb. 1825) era sottoprefetto. Là nacque il 24 aprile 1788 il figlio suo Giacinto, creato conte da Re Carlo Alberto il 21 novembre 1840. Attraverso tutti i gradi della magistratura il conte Giacinto pervenne alla carica di primo segretario di Stato degli affari ecclesiastici, di grazia e giustizia (27 magg. 1843) e firmò come ministro lo Statuto. Uomo di alto valore collaborò nei codici e stese nella redazione francese l'albertino, il penale e quello di procedura. Dei suoi figli, Augusto, primogenito, fu sostituto dell'avvocato fiscale generale a Nizza (anno 1854) e procuratore generale a Genova. Enrico Lorenzo, morto a Savona nel 1895, fece le campagne di guerra dal 1848 al 1866 meritandosi la croce di Savoia e la medaglia d'argento e fu ufficiale d'ordinanza e segretario privato di Re Vittorio Emanuele II, dal 1849 al 1859.
