Eine berühmte und tugendhafte römische Familie, deren Altertum durch das, was auf einer Grabtafel in der Kirche Santa Maria in Araceli aus dem Jahr 1316 steht, unbestreitbar gemacht wird, in der die Waffen des Mosaikhauses standen. Die Worte um die Tafel lauteten tatsächlich: "Pauli Aversi de Urbe A. 1316". Leider begannen die uns überlieferten historischen Informationen über diese Familie jedoch erst 1510 erneut, d. H. In dem Jahr, in dem der Adlige Sebastiano Aversa aus dem Bezirk Trastevere Kammerherr des Kapitols des Erlösers wurde, wie das Kataster dieses Jahres belegt. Ein Giuliano aus Lello Aversa hingegen war der Ehemann von Ludovica di Pallini, immer im Bezirk Trastevere, und beide wurden in Santa Maria in Trastevere beigesetzt.
