An illustrious and virtuous Roman family, whose antiquity is made indisputable by what appears on a sepulchral plaque, located in the Church of Santa Maria in Araceli, dating back to 1316, in which the weapons of the said mosaic house stood. The words around the plaque, in fact, read: "Pauli Aversi de Urbe A. 1316". Unfortunately, however, the historical information handed down to us regarding this family only began again in 1510, i.e. in the year in which the nobleman Sebastiano Aversa, of the Trastevere district, became a camerlengo of the Capitol of the Savior, as evidenced by the cadastre of that year. A Giuliano from Lello Aversa, on the other hand, was the husband of Ludovica di Pallini, always in the Trastevere district, and both were buried in Santa Maria in Trastevere.
