En la villa de Valdegovia, del partido judicial de Amurrio (Álava). A esta casa perteneció Diego de B. e Iruchueta, Caballero de la Orden de la Banda, en 1334. Son sus armas: De plata, con una banda de sinople, engolada en cabezas de dragones de oro. Los historiadores hacen notar acertadamente que no todos los linajes de este apellido tienen un origen común. Lo encontramos en Álava. Las armas más antiguas son las señaladas en: EL SOLAR VASCO NAVARRO Tomo II. Los de Álava traen: De plata, con una banda de sinople, engolada en cabezas de dragones de oro. Otros traen: En oro, una torre, de azur, con homenaje, mazonada de plata, aclarada de sable y puestas sobre ondas de agua de azur y plata; delante de la puerta de la torre, dos osos de sable, empinados y afrontados y atados con cadena de plata a la aldaba de la puerta. Otros: Partido: primero, en oro, una cruz floreteada de gules, y segundo, en gules una banda de oro engolada en dragante de sinople acompañada en lo alto de una brazo armado de plata, con un puñal de plata, con la guarnición de oro, en la mano.
