Dalla casa dei Capo di Vacca, nobili padovani, uscì la famiglia B. di Venezia, poichè avendo un Capo di Vacca commesso un delitto, questi furono costretti a cambiare lo stemma, che era di tre teste di vacca in campo d'oro, e porvi tre spade rosse. Una linea di costoro venne a Venezia facendosi chiamare de B., e cambiò nello stemma le spade rosse in azzurre. Questi furono tre fratelli: Bartolomeo che morì a Treviso senza figli; Marino, il quale stabilì a Durazzo un altro ramo della sua famiglia e Marco che rimase a Venezia, dal quale discese Andrea, morto combattendo nel 1430, in galea dell'armata veneta, contro i genovesi. Giovanni era uno dei più ricchi "Compagni della Calza" nel 1450. Da questa famiglia uscirono diversi uomini celebri.
