Oriundi da Asti, poi in Savigliano, sono nobilitati con Giambattista, capostipite della schiatta, per Patenti ducali 12 giugno 1620. Il nipote di Giambattista, di nome Marco Francesco Antonio, morto il 3 aprile 1728, acquistò in un primo tempo dai Biandrate di S. Giorgio il feudo di Montalenghe, del quale venne investito col titolo comitale il 10 novembre 1696; mentre la moglie, Clara Rosa Benedetta Frichignono, del conte Giovanni Giacinto, ebbe l'investitura di Castellengo con titolo comitale il 25 settembre 1734 per le ragioni paterne. Fu l'unico feudo che perdurò nella famiglia perché Montalenghe fu alienato il 20 settembre 1733 dal conte Pietro Ignazio al conte Carlo Ignazio Negri. L'ultima investitura di Castellengo, prima che si abolisse il feudalesimo, é del 30 giugno 1796 in capo al conte Giuseppe. Un ramo di questa famiglia passò in Prussia, ove fiorì col conte Franz, capo del centro cattolico e vicepresidente del Reichstag. La
