Antichissima famiglia originaria di Mestre ed ascritta a quella cittadinanza nel 1500, dove conservò per lunghi secoli il domicilio, e nel mezzo della chiesa di S. Girolamo fu sepolto, nel 1479, il chiaro giureconsulto Antonio Bardellin. La famiglia (Bardellino, Bardulini, Berdellinus, Bardulinae, Berdelunum) erano divisi in varie famiglie dimoranti, oltre che a Mestre, ad Asolo e Venezia. Coloro che avevano preso dimora nella Dominante si preoccuparono anche dove avrebbero riposato le loro ossa, e stabilirono che ciò fosse nella chiesa della Madonna dell'Orto. Alvise, dottore, fu il primo ad iniziare il 28 ottobre 1528 la serie dei B. che ivi furono sepolti. Con l'Alvise lo seguirono nella tomba, oltre ai suoi famigliari, il patrizio (?) Gerolamo Loredan, abitante a S. Vitale, e sua moglia Chiara, conforme l'investitura da loro istituita il 15 gennaio 1584.
