Gesuchte Familie ursprünglich aus Neapel, wo er das Herzogtum Caivano und die Baronie S. Arcangelo besaß. Ein Giovanni blühte 1347 als vernünftiger Meister des königlichen Hofes auf. Der erste, der nach Sizilien ging, schien ein Giovan Luca unter König Martino gewesen zu sein, von dem er Vergütungen und Ehrungen für seine gemeldeten Dienste erhielt; und war Sekretär der Weißen Königin. Ein Zweig dieser Familie stoppte sein Zimmer in Messina, und ein Giuseppe Barile auf Anweisung von Villabianca kaufte 1639 zusammen mit den Bauernhäusern von Melia und Kaggi das Baronialland Mongiuffi von R. Corte. dann 1643 die eresse in marquisate. Von dieser Familie hat Pater Dr. Ansalone im letzten Exkurs.
