Pietro, over Berilli Regino fù Camariero dell'Infante Don Giovanni fratello del Rè Alfonso, per lo cui favor hebbe dal Rè la Castellania di Mineo, ed altre onze 20. sopra gl'introiti di quella Università nel 1448. ed ivi si casò con Palmiera Bocca Genovese, con la quale procreò Gio. Filippo, che seguì nella Castellania al padre, e dal Rè Ferdinando fù eletto Veditor del Real Patrimonio, questi si casò in Mess. con Miuccia Bonifatio figlia di Gio. Leone gentilhuomo di quella Città con buonissima dote, e par che in lui havesse finito questa famiglia, mentre non ne hò trovato nessun altro vestigio. Fu costume delle più antiche famiglie, le quali dopo la caduta del Romano Imperio, in quella inondatione de' Barbari, havendo i loro cognomi, sicome gli studi, e altre cose belle smarrito e restati solo con semplici nomi, trarre di nuovo i loro cognomi, e il loro casato da' nomi
