Antigua familia patricia de Cosenza, que se cree que es originaria de Francia. Poseía el noble feudo de Lattarico y, según Castiglion Morelli, también la tierra de Eboli por concesión de Federico d'Aragona. Fue recibido en el orden de Malta desde 1592 con un Maurizio, valiente en armas y autor de varias comedias. Entre los demás cabe mencionar: Angelo, familia de Alfonso I de Aragón; Embajador de John para el rey Frederick ante la corte de Fernando el católico; Francesco Antonio, llamado jesuita, orador de renombre. Con el Real Decreto de 14 de julio de 1907, la familia fue reconocida en el título patricio de Cosenza por m. y con renovación del baronial, por mpr. Está representada por Alfonso, de Enrico, de Alfonso nacido en Sorrento el 11 de octubre de 1885, recon. en el título de barón y patricio de Cosenza con DP el 16 de julio de 1927.
