Antica ed assai nobile famiglia originaria del Delfinato, antica provincia francese, passata primieramente a Bissy, in Savoia, poi in Torino e propagatasi, successivamente, in diverse regioni d'Italia. Il primo personaggio di cui si ha nota è un Giovanni, signore di Rocheux, capitano trattenuto del duca di Savoia. La casata è stata fregiata del titolo comitale, in persona di Camillo Giulio (n. Bissy, 31 luglio 1815; + ... ), dottore in leggi, segretario di legazione sarda a Parigi, ministro italiano a Francoforte e a Berlino, ambasciatore a Madrid, creato conte il 25 maggio 1853 e marito di Elisabetta Matilde Lacoste (+ Bissy, 7 ottobre 1888), da cui ha avuto: 1) Francesca, moglie di Giovanni d’Outremont; 2) Maria Teresa; 3) Flavia, sposatasi con (Bissy, 12 gennaio 1897) Giuseppe Massimo de Mongins de Roquefort; 4) Fernando.
