Elvira Fernandes de Toledo, sua mulher, do qual matrimónio nasceu D. Egas Gomes B., o primeiro que usou este apelido, tirado das Terras de B., na província de Trás-os-Montes, onde, no lugar de Sipiões, tinha uma torre, solar da família, que herdara de seus antepassador. D. Egas Gomes B. foi rico-homem e viveu em tempo dos Reis D. Sancho II e D. Afonso II, em cujo seviço socorreu d. Fernando, o Santo, de Castela, no cerco de Sevilha no ano de 1247. Casou com D. Urraca Vasques de Ambia, filha de D. Vasco Guelelha de Ambia, de quem teve vários filhos, de um dos quais provieram os Bastos. Timbre: um leõa do escudo.
