Giovanni medico insigne do século XVII. Família originária de Romagna. O comendador GB de Crollalanza relata o brasão desta família nos volumes de seu histórico dicionário de brasões das nobres e notáveis famílias italianas. Outra antiga família Marche com residência na cidade de Pesaro. Um conde de Cattolica foi do nobre Conselho de Pesaro em 1751. Ao longo dos séculos, famílias de mesmo nome se mudaram para várias regiões da Itália, das quais adquiriram sua nobreza e foram acolhidas lá nos importantes escritórios da cidade em que viviam, um dos eles tinham como arma: Partido; à direita do vermelho, à montanha de três picos de verde, encimados por um leão de ouro; esquerda esquartejada; na primeira e quarta prata, leão natural; no segundo e terceiro azul, três estrelas com oito raios dourados.
