Familia antigua originaria del Castillo de Monte sotto S. Leo, que se instaló en el siglo XVIII en la ciudad de Pennabili. Ya disfrutaba de la nobleza de S. Leo y también en la nueva patria se le atribuyó a ese noble consejo, dando varios gonfaloniers como los condes Giacomo y Marino en los años 1823, 1824, 1833; de hecho, el conde Marino fue designado para formar parte de la Diputación Heráldica de la ciudad.
