Esta familia, antiguamente conocida como la familia Susina, poseía un vasto patrimonio en la zona de Fiesole y fue galardonada en varias ocasiones con la gonfalonería de esa ciudad. San Filippo Neri, por consideración especial a los méritos de Bellini hacia la gente de Fiesole, les concedió a perpetuidad varias propiedades en el área del manantial subterráneo. Fueron adscritos a la ciudadanía florentina en 1636 ya la nobleza de Fiesole con un rescripto fechado el 14 de junio de 1839. Descendiente de Averardo Carlo, de Cesare, de Giovanni Carlo. La bibliografía de esta familia la cita el Marqués Vittorio Spreti, en su Enciclopedia Storico-Nobiliare Italiana impresa en Milán en 1936. Recopila manuscritos de contenido heráldico y noble-genealógico, entre bibliotecas y en numerosos archivos públicos y privados.
