Questa nobile famiglia si trasferì da Firenze a Venezia, ed ebbe vari membri famosi nelle armi, ed altri che furono insigniti di distinte prelature. L'anno 1647 un Bartolomeo trovandosi senza eredi mascolini adottò per proprio figlio Gio. Giuseppe Tornaquinci, al quale diede in isposa l'unica sua figlia, coll'obbligo di aggiungere al cognome di Belloni quello di Tornaquinci. Offerti poi dal detto Bartolomeo 150,000 ducati, venne aggregato alla veneta Nobiltà, unitamente al proprio figlio adottivo, e a tutti i loro discendenti legittimi il 29 dicembre 1647, in seguito alla parte ballottata in Senato il 28 dicembre con voti favorevoli 113, contrari 24, non sinceri 29, proprosta e presa nel M. C. con voti favorevoli 586, contrari 235, non sinceri 47. Della famiglia non si ebbero più notizie dal 1676 con la morte di Gio. Battista Tornaquinci-Belloni, genero di Bartolomeo, perchè questi non ebbe che un figlio di nome Carlo, il quale
