Ancient and illustrious family of Corio, called Berria or Beria, passed, firstly, to Nole and, subsequently, to Turin. There is a memory of a Giovanni Domenico Berria, born in Corio on 21 February. 1619, father of Giambattista, born in Nole on 4 May 1673, died in Turin in 1758. He, barely sixteen years old, had emigrated to Germany where, as a contractor of the provinces, in the war of 1690, he had enriched himself. His son, Carlo Domenico, who died in Turin on 23 March 1758, former general ammunition of the army (I April 1733), was the first count of Sale, with which he was invested on 10 May 1742. He had his marriage to Antonia Domenica Gianotti , from Giaveno, numerous offspring, including Benedetto Maurizio (born in Turin on July 7, 1738 and died in Turin on December 30, 1794) who, following the line, was invested with Sale on
