Originally from Spain, and advocate of prin. Garcia, son of Ferdinando the Great, was forced around 1100 to emigrate from his homeland, after the defeat suffered by that prince and take refuge in the valleys of Trentino, and precisely in that of Lagarina, from where he transplanted into the neighboring areas, branching off into Rovereto where he passed then to Riva, Brentonico and Arco.
