Antonio, from Trentino, fleeing the foreign domain in his native land, transported his home to Genoa, where he opened a library under the arcades of the Academy. Here, Giovanni and Angela Molinare was born on 1846 (25 May), who, rising to the highest ranks in the Italian navy, brought this family to the Italian noble official list, published in 1922. He entered the marine direction in 1863 , rose for his merits from grade to grade to that of deputy admiral, in 1905. Combining political skill with military and military expertise, he was a member of Parliament for the colleges of Genoa (1890-1900) and Recco (1900 -16), and three times minister of the Navy (1899, 1900; 1903, 1909-10). The King of Italy granted him the title of Count (May 25, 1911) (mpr.). He died on 1916 (April 7). The Municipality of Genoa erected a bronze bust on the Acquasola hill.
