Le memorie della famiglia risalgono alla prima metà del XIV secolo, e sappiamo di un Giacomino (1320) che venne onorato da Azzone Visconti di guerresche onoreficenze per prove di valore nell'assalto alle mure di Brescia alla testa di una compagnia di uomini raccolti sul litorale di Salò. Fu su quel litorale che gli stessi stabilirono la loro residenza definitiva nel secolo XV ampliando considerevolmente la loro proprietà nei secoli posteriori. Nel 1438 Comino dalla Rep. Veneta fu chiamato arbitro in una lite fra due potenti famiglie veneziane: Zanetto nel 1517 militò nelle armate di Filippo II e fu ferito alla battaglia di S. Quintino; Carlo ed altri nel 1600 resero importantissimi servigi al loro paese. L'imperatore Carlo VI con patenti 26 gennaio 1724 creava nobile dell'impero co' discendenti suoi Gio. Inquartato; nel 1° e nel 4° spaccato d'oro e di nero, ad un ippogrifo dell'uno nell'altro, linguato di rosso, impugnante una spada d'argento; nel 2° e nel 3° d'azzurro, alla sbarra d'oro accompagnata da due stelle di sei raggi dello stesso. Sul tutto di rosso, al monte di tre cime di verde, movente dalla punta cimato da una colomba d'argento, tenente nel becco un ramo di bettonica di verde.
