Obradich-Bevilaqua, (Taf. 42.) Old, Slavic, extinct family of the islands of Lesina and Curzola, whose name is also written: "Obradich-Bevilaqua". Johann Obradich-Bevilacqua, the penultimate offspring of the male family, was probably the most famous of his name. He distinguished himself particularly in the service of the Venetian Republic and, in particular, victoriously commanded a squadron of barges against the corsairs of Narenta during one of their raids against Spalato, for which deed the Doge Domenico Contarini, de dato Venice, made him a "Knight of San Marco" with all the privileges of this title on March 16, 1660.
