Il appartient aux plus anciennes familles de Savigliano, avec des conseillers nobles de la commune, comme l'atteste une déclaration datée du 8 août 1739 délivrée à la famille par cette commune. Les premières mémoires sécurisées remontent au XVIe siècle. Francesco Vittorio (né Savigliano, 27 mars 1680) avait vendu le fief de Castelletto d'Ussone en 1739, déjà acheté par son ancêtre Franceschino, et avait été investi de S. Maria di Bioglio en 1738. Il est l'ancêtre du comte actuel lignée , d'autres lignées mineures ayant disparu. Vittorio, de Mauro, de Vittorio Pompeo.
