Pertence às famílias mais antigas de Savigliano, com nobres vereadores do concelho, como atesta a declaração de 8 de agosto de 1739 emitida à família por aquele concelho. As primeiras memórias seguras datam do século XVI. Francesco Vittorio (nascido Savigliano, 27 de março de 1680) vendeu o feudo de Castelletto d'Ussone em 1739, já comprado por seu ancestral Franceschino, e foi investido com S. Maria di Bioglio em 1738. Ele é o progenitor do atual conde linha , outras linhas menores foram extintas. Vittorio, de Mauro, de Vittorio Pompeo. A presença do lema na bibliografia documental da família confirma a nobreza ancestral da família. De facto, a origem do lema remonta cerca do século XIV e deve ser procurada naqueles ditos espirituosos que eram escritos nos estandartes ou estandartes dos cavaleiros, expostos nas janelas das estalagens onde se hospedavam, por ocasião da os torneios e durante os próprios torneios.
