A família chegou à Itália com Carlo d'Angiò, estabelecendo-se nos países genovês, toscano e outras regiões. Os que se estabeleceram na Toscana compraram uma vila na área de Pistoia, chamada, talvez antes mesmo dessa compra, de Serre; e já os achamos muito poderosos desde o final do século XIII, como as histórias de Pistoia e mais e melhor o distrito e o campo Libres, nas quais são indicados como Ceschi, Biceschi e della Serra, pelo nome de seus bens. Depois de caírem em Pistoia, tornaram-se apoiadores da República Florentina, que o admitiu primeiro no notário e depois no priorado, encontrando-se Alexandre de Sor Pietro chiado pela maior em 1524. Capitão Lorenzo, enviado pelo Grão-Duque a Elba como diretor de artilharia, transferido para Portoferraio a residência da família. Dele desce Domenico di Candido atribuído à nobreza de Fiesole, reescrito em 14 de junho de 1839, e depois, junto com seu irmão
