Originally from Rome, it belonged to the most ancient Milanese patrician families. It had the county of Saronno in 1525, and was awarded the title of marquises of the SR Empire in 1623. Andrea Conte Palatino, Protonot. Apost. and ducal senator. Several were decurions of the homeland; and Francesco and Giovanni Battista Bishops of the same. A second Andrea, religious of S. Agostino, was a distinguished historian of Milan. There is no news of this family. The presence of the motto in the documented bibliography of the family confirms the ancestral nobility of the family. In fact, the origin of the motto dates back to around the 14th century and must be sought in those witty sayings that were written on the banners or flags of the knights, displayed on the windows of the inns where they stayed, during the tournaments, and during the tournaments themselves . Family motto: Mandata
