Trae la sua origine questa famiglia da Serravalle delle Langhe, da dove si portò in Fossano. Appartenne ad essa l'avvocato Pietro Giovanni, di Michele Antonio che il 12 novembre 1675 ottenne concessione di arma. Suo figlio Filiberto (n. 1674, dec. 1751) acquistò il 14 dicembre 1739 dal co. Giuseppe De Rossi di Vico i due terzi della giurisdizione, detta Provana nel feudo di Margone, Usseglio e Lemie e ne fu investito dall'arcivescovo di Torino il I febbraio 1740 col titolo signorile. Fu suo figlio Pietro Giovanni (n. Fossano I agosto 1701), che dalle sue nozze (1742) con Maria Maddalena Galleani di Agliano, ebbe Filiberto (n. Fossano il 13 ottobre 1746, dec. ivi, 25 luglio 1803) il quale procreò Pietro (n. Fossano il 5 dicembre 1786, dec. ivi 19 maggio 1855), che fu ufficiale d'armata e gentiluomo di Camera onorario (1842) . Dalle
