Familia antigua e ilustre, de nobleza clara y ancestral, originaria de Varese. Este linaje, cuyo conocimiento, en nombre de los ilustres genealogistas, debe buscarse en algunas modificaciones del nombre medieval tardío "Bizarrus", cuenta como su progenitor un Pietro Luigi, padre de Antonio, cubículo del papa IV y de Francesco, cuyo hijo Giovanni Battista fundó una capilla del santo patrón en la iglesia de las monjas de S. Antonio en Varese. Del hermano de este último, Pietro Maria, descendieron los físicos Giovanni Pietro y Carlo, quienes obtuvieron el reconocimiento de la nobleza por decreto del 22 de agosto de 1775 de la Corte Heráldica y la delineación del escudo de armas en el Código Heráldico.
