Famille originaire de Reggio Calabria, appelée Blasio ou di Blasio, attribuée à ce premier ordre civique et illustrée dans ses différentes branches, selon ce que Candida atteste, entre autres, avec un Alfonso, prince de l'Accademia dei Ravvivati, conseiller Gabriele du roi Ferdinand le Catholique et Philippe, capitaine dans les armées du roi Philippe III d'Espagne. Jusqu'à l'abolition de la féodalité, elle possédait la terre de Palizzi, en Calabre Ultérieur, avec la ferme attenante de Pieprapennata, terre qui avait appartenu à la noble famille sicilienne des Arduino. Carlo, di Tiberio, le dernier propriétaire de la terre susmentionnée, était également Pari del Regno dans la courte période constitutionnelle de 1848, et plus tard intendant en Calabre.
