La più antica memoria che trovo di questa famiglia Romana è nell'Archivio di Santa Prassede nel 11271 e nel 1212. Il Ciaccone riferisce he nell'anno 1144 da Celestino II fu fatto cardinale Hyacinto Bobo, ovvero Bobo e nobile romano, che fu poi Celestino III e fu fatto cardinale molto giovane visse nel cardinalato anni 53, non come dice il Ciaccone poco meno di 50, poichè, come dicemmo, fu creato cardinale del 1144 e Papa del 1191 e morì nell'anno 1198 dice il Ciaccone presso che ottuagenario, di modo che fu fatto cardinale nelli 18 ovvero 19 anni della sua età. Si fa menzione di lui in un Isdrumento pignorationis Castrorum Piceni et Ripeseni 2 Januarij, 1159, riferito da Cencio Cameriario. Dal medesimo si parla nell'Istrumento dell'acqusto di Corigliano, sotto il primo dicembre 1158, riferito dal medesimo Camerario. Ed in un Istromento si dice, del medesimo anno interviene Petrus de Bobo
