Les témoignages généalogiques de cette famille noble ne dépassent pas le milieu du XVIIe siècle, mais nous en avons des nouvelles au siècle précédent. Il obtient le titre de chevalier héréditaire pour les deux sexes par décret du duc de Modène le 10 février 1741 en la personne du noble Giacinto di Antonio, avocat de la chambre ducale, ambassadeur d'Este en Allemagne (1725-1734) et à Naples (1741 -42), Recteur perpétuel de l'Université de Modène. D'un certificat inséré dans le Livre des Privilèges de la Municipalité de Modène, le 10 avril 1769, il ressort que depuis lors la famille était numérotée "inter primarys et nobiliores" de la ville et inscrite au Livre d'Or, cet enregistrement confirmé le 23 mars 1816. Membres vivants : Antonio, di Rinaldo, Antonio, di Rinaldo, Antonio, né le 2 octobre 1855. Enfants : Benedetto, né le 18 juin 1888 ; Matilde, née le 20 octobre 1891 ;
