Antica ed assai nobile famiglia lombarda, originaria di Bellano, sul lago di Como, ma passata poi in Milano, conosciuta come Boldoni o Boldori, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. La casata nel dispiegarsi dei lustri, sempre è riuscita a produrre una serie di uomini che hanno reso illustre il suo nome, nei pubblici impieghi, nelle professioni liberali ed ecclesiastiche e nel servizio militare. Essa ha infatti dato alla patria molti fisici e dottori di Collegio, un Vescovo di Teano ed un protofisico generale del ducato di Milano. Numerosi furono autori di opere mediche e letterarie. Un A. Boldori fu Arciprete di Robecco d'Oglio. Altra famiglia. Nobile casato veronese, conosciuto come Boldera, Boldieri o Boldori. La famiglia, composta da esperti artigiani, si trasferì, nel XIV secolo, da Brescia a Verona e, con il ricavato del proprio lavoro, cominciarono ad acquistare terreni nella bassa provincia
