Ancient and noble family from Northern Europe, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. According to what has been handed down, this family is originally from Germany from where it split into two main branches. One moved to Danemark, the other one to Enkhuizen, in the Netherlands. Both branches distinguished themselves for the lands owned and for the prestigious positions held by their members.
