Por su matrimonio con doña Constanza Sforza entroncó con la casa de Farnesio y tuvo entre otros hijos a Gregorio B., natural de la isla de Sora, en Nápoles, segundo Duque de Sora, que casó con doña Leonor Zapata, natural de Nápoles (hija de Juan Bautista Zapata, Correo mayor de Nápoles, y de su mujer doña Catalina Bracia), y tuvieron, entre otros hijos, a Hugo o Diego B., natural de la isla de Sora, que contrajo matrimonio con doña María Ruffo, hija del segundo Duque de Bagnara, naciendo de esa unión Gregorio B., segundo del nombre, que sigue; Francisco, Arzobispo de Bolonia; Jacobo, también Cardenal Arzobispo de Bolonia; Antonio, que continuará, y Leonor, esposa de Juan Bautista Burgesio, segundo Príncipe de Sulmona y Rosano. Gregorio B., segundo del nombre, fué cuarto Duque de Sora, y aunque casó dos veces, no tuvo sucesión, por lo que vino a sucederle su cuarto hermano Antonio B. y Ruffo, natural de Sora, que fué quinto Duque de Sora y caballero de la Orden de Calatrava, en la que ingesó en 1692.
