Noble and remarkable family of Finale Emilia, of clear and ancestral virtue, with important nuclei also in Bologna and Modena, which spread over the centuries in various regions of Italy. Since the seventeenth century, this house has been counted among the consular ones of the Finale. There a Giuseppe Borsari raised a grandiose building in via Frassoni, still today among the most architecturally interesting constructions in the Modena lowlands. This noble family, whose initial fortune came from the grain trade, was inscribed in the ancient Golden Book of the Finale community, which unfortunately was destroyed by the revolutionaries. On January 19, 1825, a branch of the Borsari was reinserted in the new Golden Book, reopened by sovereign disposition of February 17, 1816. The Borsari family, which has always distinguished itself for its loyalty to the princes, had also been admitted to enjoy the honors of the Royal Court of Modena.
