Familia noble y notable de Finale Emilia, de virtud clara y ancestral, con núcleos importantes también en Bolonia y Módena, que se ha extendido a lo largo de los siglos en varias regiones de Italia. Desde el siglo XVII, esta casa ha sido contada entre las consulares del Finale. Allí, Giuseppe Borsari levantó un grandioso palacio en via Frassoni, todavía hoy entre los edificios arquitectónicamente más interesantes de las tierras bajas de Módena. Esta noble familia, cuya fortuna inicial provenía del comercio de granos, estaba inscrita en el antiguo Libro Dorado de la comunidad Finale, que desafortunadamente fue destruido por los revolucionarios. El 19 de enero de 1825, una rama del Borsari se reinsertó en el nuevo Libro de Oro, reabierto por disposición soberana del 17 de febrero de 1816. La familia Borsari, que siempre se ha distinguido por su lealtad a los príncipes, también había sido admitida para disfrutar
