Alte Familie, die ursprünglich aus Chivasso stammt, aber nach Turin gezogen ist, das sich im Laufe der Jahrhunderte in verschiedenen Regionen Italiens ausgebreitet hat. 1580 wurden die Bosios von Emanuele-Filiberto in den Personen von Giovanni-Maria und Michelino mit Adel geschmückt. Zahlreiche Malteserritter wurden dort geboren und unter ihnen war ein Antonio General des Ordens während der Belagerung von Modena. Ein Tommaso war 1555 Bischof von Malta, während ein Francesco viele Interessen des Ordens mit Karl V. und Clemens VII. aushandelte. Erinnern wir uns schließlich an Giacomo, Autor der berühmten Geschichte des unterirdischen Roms und der Geschichte des Malteserordens. Eine andere Familie: Die Kaiserin Maria Theresia verlieh dem Notar Francesco Bosio mit einem am 29. April 1780 in Wien verliehenen Diplom den Adel des Heiligen Römischen Reiches mit dem Prädikat Klarenbrunn (Chiarafonte), übertragbar auf ihre Nachkommen beiderlei Geschlechts und einen Partikularen Wappen . Titel und Prädikat wurden mit DP am 30.
