Noble family established in Brittany for several centuries which counts among its members the lords of Colombier. It would be superfluous to recall here all that has been written on the coat of arms, on the nobility and on the origin of the name of this family. We could not do better than to indicate to you the introduction of Pol Potier de Coursy at the beginning of his work "Nobiliary and Armorial of Brittany", which had the approval of all the people competent in this matter. The family distinction represented here in the form of a coat of arms, survives through the centuries thanks to precious testimonies which have enabled us to report the exploits and gestures of this noble family. Among the most outstanding characters of this family are: Pierre, King's secretary in 1613.
