Antica e nobile famiglia del Piemonte, con residenza nella città di Bra. Da molto tempo non sono pervenute più notizie di suddetta famiglia. La presenza del motto nella bibliografia documentata della famiglia ci conferma l'avita nobiltà raggiunta della casata. Infatti l'origine del motto risale a circa il XIV secolo e deve essere ricercata in quei detti arguti che venivano scritti sui vessilli o bandiere dei cavalieri, esposti alle finestre delle locande in cui questi alloggiavano, in occasione dei tornei, e durante i tornei stessi. Motto della famiglia: Ornat non onerat. La famiglia Brachini alzò per arma. D'azzurro alla banda d'argento, doppiomerlata di tre pezzi. Altro ramo. Uscirono dalla nobile famiglia detta dalla Corte Murari di S. Nazario, e furono ascritti al nobile Consiglio di Verona nel 1681.
