Ai feudi di Brazzà e di Cergneu posseduti da questa famiglia, andava annesso il titolo comitale, che con le successive investiture venne confermato dalla repubblica veneta. Giovanni-Francesco fu balio, commendatore gran croce dell'ordine di Malta nel 1690; Ettore servì in qualità di Generale nell'armata austriaca nel 1678. Fu confermata nella sua nobiltà coomitale con sovrana risoluzione 24 Maggio 1825. Altro ramo. Ebbero comune la origine co' signori di Savorgnan, possedettero i castelli di Brazzacco e di Cergneu, che abbandonarono nel 1430 per stabilirsi in Udine di cui ottennero la cittadinanza e furono membri del Parlamento Friulano. Brazacho de sopra, casa in forteza et feudataria: fu una famiglia de Brazacho de Sopra così nominata: de la quale uno ser Francesco de ser Candido, nel mille tricento et nonanta per le desension qui se ridusse et nostro citadin divene: poi come Dio volse per la comune morte, ruinata orbata rimase.
