Melchiorre Briffi, di Antonio Maria, ebbe la conferma della nobiltà con Sovrana Risoluzione Austriaca 9 dicembre 1829, per iscrizione dei suoi maggiori al nobile consiglio di Lendinara. Altro ramo. Ha dato nove priori alla patria, il primo de' quali fu Giovanni nel 1466, e l'ultimo Assopardo nel 1551, 1557 e 1565 e molti anziani. Della suddetta non si ebbero più aggiornamenti araldici da tempo remoto. Altro ramo. Minolo di Briffi era console di Varese nel luglio del 1351; Ambrogio senatore di Milano; altro Ambrogio protonotario apostolico, senatore e conte palatino; Leonardo Vescovo di Gubbio, e quindi Arcivescovo di Benevento; Desiderio distinto poeta.
