A família Brigante Colonna Angelini é o único ramo que resta dos Colonna Signori di Gallicano, o outro extinto em 1429. Origina-se de Matteo di Odoardo que se estabeleceu em Tivoli quando seu irmão Giacomo-Antonio era bispo - 1210 - 1219 Isto é o bispo referido no milagre de São Francisco, mencionado por Giotto no afresco da Basílica Superior de Assis. Angelo, di Oddone, di Matteo, chama-se B.
