La famiglia di Mondolfo (Marche) é antica e nobile. Sue memorie risalgono al secolo XVII, e suoi membri ricoprirono cariche nel nobile Consiglio di detta città. Il dottore Tommaso (nato a Roma, 21 dicembre 1755) sposò Teresa Bellini (nato Osimo, 9 novembre 1755), ricoprì le prime cariche consigliari in Mondolfo; così pure Camillo suo figlio, nato in Osimo 6 giugno 1776. La famiglia Bellini é oriunda di Bergamo donde nel 1440 si trasferì a Staffolo (Marche) e nel 1600 in Osimo. Stefano fu vescovo di Fossombrone prima e poi di Loreto. I nobili Ubaldo e Giovacchino Bellini, fratelli del vescovo Stefano e della signora Teresa Bellini sopradetta, non avendo eredi, chiamarono in Osimo il nipote Camillo con l'obbligo di assumere il cognome e lo stemma onde proseguire la famiglia. Dai libri consigliari di Osimo risulta che dal 1782 la famiglia fu annoverata tra le nobili di Osimo e da allora in poi i suoi membri ricopersero tutte le più alte cariche del Consiglio e del magistrato. Ultimo di questo ramo fu il sen. Giuseppe che morì in Osimo 14 novembre 1898. Egli con suo testamento olografo 1 luglio 1882 istituì suo erede con l'obbligo dell'aggiunta del cognome e stemma Bellini il nipote Fabrizio, che con Decreto Regio 31 dicembre 1899, assunse il cognome attuale. La Consulta Araldica con Decreto Ministeriale 18 maggio 1912 dichiarò spettare a Fabrizio Pio Pasquale Gaspare Briganti-Bellini del fu Francesco Briganti e ai suoi discendenti maschi e femmine il titolo di nobile di Osimo. Oggi la famiglia è rappresentata da: Fabrizio fu Francesco, nato a Barchi (Pesaro) 6 gennaio 1855, spos. 26 luglio 1899 con Edmea Givi di Ceneselli (Rovigo), da cui: Costanza, nata Osimo 15 gennaio 1902, spos. 20 giugno 1927 a Don Giulio dei principi Barberini di Roma.
