B.con Cassano sono scitati in atti del marzo 1176 con cui Federico I, riconciliatosi, restituisce a Trotona possessi ed antichi privilegi, del 4 febbraio 1193 ove Enrico VI conferma quanto sopra e del 24 novembre 1220, nuova riconferma di Federico II. Di detti luoghi erano feudatari nel 1149 le principali famiglie signorili di Tortona costiuitesi in consortile, feudo che in seguito cedettero al Comune; insorti poi non pochi contrasti, Enrico VII
