Ancient and noble Italian family from Lombardy, with main residence in the city of Bergamo, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. According to what has been handed down, the family came from Germany from where moved to Bergamo in the XIV century. The first family we find in the documents is a Bonadeus Broch, merchant in Bergamo, in the year 1251. Lately we find a Giovanni Broch, from Bergamo, canon in Padua until the year 1395. Unfortunately we do not know the exact moment when the family was admitted to the Italian nobility. But probably it reached riches through commerce and moreover its nobility is certainly confirmed by its presence in the valuable work "Il Dizionario storico-blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane, estinte e fiorenti" of the Italian writer and heraldist Giovan Battista of Crollalanza (19 May 1819 – 8 March 1892), published
