Família Friuliana antiga e ilustre, de virtude clara e ancestral, cujos galhos moravam em vários lugares da península italiana, em particular no Vêneto e no vale Emiliano do Pó, mas também na Europa e na América do Sul, sofrendo alterações cognominais, dependendo do local de residência . Acredita-se, portanto, que os Rondani e Brondani são ramos de uma única cepa. A casa possuía homens excelentes, destacados no comércio de armas, em posições eclesiásticas e civis. E justamente por esses méritos, de acordo com o que nos é dado, ele recebeu uma licença de nobreza no décimo sétimo século. Entre os personagens que os tornaram mais famosos, sem elevar nada ao valor dos omitidos, lembramos: Giacomo, doutor em ambas as leis, florescendo em Udine, em 1501; Pietro Paolo, leitor de filosofia, florescendo em Pádua, em 1529; Benedetto, da Ordem Menor Reformada, florescendo em Gemona del Friuli, em 1556; D.
