Ancienne et noble famille Brescia, appelée Brunelli ou Brunello, de vertu claire et ancestrale, répartie au cours des siècles dans diverses régions d'Italie. Alessio, qui avait été au service de la cour de Mantoue comme page, en 1652, obtint le titre de comte du duc Carlo II Gonzaga pour lui-même et ses frères; titre qui a été confirmé, avec transmission primogéniale, du duc Ferdinando Carlo, avec diplôme le 18 février 1693. Un autre Alessio, conseiller de la municipalité de Brescia, a été impliqué et a subi l'emprisonnement autrichien dans le château de sa ville natale. Paolo, par arrêté ministériel du 16 juin 1901, se fit reconnaître le titre de "noble" et son fils, Guido (né en 1888), fut en 1926 inscrit comme chevalier d'honneur et de dévotion dans l'Ordre de Malte. Ils sont actuellement inscrits sur la liste officielle avec le titre de "noble" pour les hommes et les femmes,
