Cagliari-Familie ligurischen Ursprungs, deren Informationen aus dem 16. Jahrhundert stammen. Sie waren Kaufleute und befassten sich mit der Ausbeutung von Thunfischfallen; Zu Beginn des 17. Jahrhunderts hatten sie eine beträchtliche wirtschaftliche Position erreicht. Ein Stefano heiratete einen Rocamarti und wurde 1643 während des Parlaments von Avellano in die Militärstation aufgenommen. 1651 kaufte er die Tonnara von Portopaglia und erhielt die erbliche Ritterschaft und den Adel. 1670 erwarb sein Sohn Francesco bei der Versteigerung der von den Zatrillas beschlagnahmten Lehen die Grafschaft Cuglieri, die sein Sohn Domenico Giovanni 1706 an die Genuesen verkaufte. Domenico Giovanni selbst erkannte 1712 das Erbe der Grafschaft Monteleone als an der einzige Erbe der Rocamarti für Frauen. 1746 erwarb Gavino, der Sohn von Domenico Giovanni, die Lordschaften von Serdiana und Donori von den Steuerbehörden, auf den beiden Lehen hatte er den Titel Marquis von San Saverio. Später ging dieses Lehen durch Heirat an die Carcassona über.
