Antigua y muy noble familia de sujetadores, de clara y ancestral virtud, que se ha extendido a lo largo de los siglos en varias regiones de Italia y del mundo. Según genealogistas autorizados, el origen de esta cognominación debe buscarse en una forma hipocorística del nombre medieval "Bullius", probablemente perteneciente a un mítico progenitor.
